Media

I’m proud to have shared my story and raised awareness about many issues relating to fertility and donor conception by featuring in numerous podcasts, publications and speaking events. With a lived patient perspective, close connection with the TTC (Trying To Conceive) community online and experience speaking I am open to supporting organisations, press and campaigns that will meet my aims of helping to raise awareness and improve the patient experience. I am available for interviews and can write articles on request. Please do contact me if you’d like to explore a collaboration!

Campaigns and Events

I feel privileged to have spoken at the following events, sharing my story and meeting some truly inspirational people.

Fertility Network UK Webinar – ‘Using a Donor – what I wish I’d have known’

The recording is available here to watch.

Ferring Pharmaceuticals #FertilityAwks campaign

I’ve been honoured to support Ferring Pharmaceuticals with their family building awareness campaign #FertilityAwks. In the second story of their #FertilityAwks series, I open up about going through early menopause at 27, and how insensitive comments around fertility issues and IVF affected me at work. Here I share the final video, which has since been shared at ESHRE, along with a follow-up behind the scenes video where I talk more about the issues and how they made me feel.

Due to Covid, my live DefiningMum event was postponed and so I held a free webinar in collaboration with Altrui. This explored the different perspectives, emotions and fears experienced when it comes to making the decision to use a donor. Hosted by Altrui, I was joined by their founder Alison Bagshawe to talk about the practical side of egg donation, Jana Rupnow LPC joined as a therapist specialising in donor conception, Leanne spoke as an egg donor herself and we also heard from Kate, giving her perspective as an adult who was conceived using a sperm donor.

The recording is available here to watch.

The Fertility Show – Let’s Talk Stage

In November 2019 I spoke and answered questions at The Fertility Show on the Let’s Talk Stage all about Egg Donation as a path to parenthood.

I spoke on the ‘Every Story Matters’ Panel about our story.

Speaking at the Thriva Health ‘She’s So Hormonal’ Event I was interviewed by the hosts of Big Fat Negative Podcast on a panel alongside menopause campaigner Meg Matthews, Fertility Doctor Larisa Corda and many others where I shared the impact that hormones have had on me and my life.

“…An enlightening evening as we open up the conversation around female hormonal health, hearing real-stories and expert advice from the likes of menopause campaigner Meg Mathews, gynaecologist Sara Matthews, Dr Jan Toledano from London Hormone Clinic, nutritional therapist and female health expert, Angelique Panagos, alongside Jo & Ann from Positive Pause, Sally Bee, fertility expert Dr Larisa Corda and psychologists and more to open up the conversation around female hormonal health.

Hosted by Emma and Gabby, the dynamic duo behind infertility podcast Big Fat Negative, the evening will be a fun, open and honest chat about female hormonal health, all recorded as part of a live podcast.”

BBC Radio 4 – Woman’s Hour
